Famous People Pictures Worthy Of A Book
Those Hollywood celebrities that we all love so much all started out as normal people just like you and me. Well, most of them started out that way. The higher up the celebrity ladder these stars climb, the less we see of their true person.
Famous people pictures come in as many varieties as films do. Some photos are rough and gritty, showing the under belly of the star. Most of these photos are taken by the paparazzi. This is a style of photography that flatters few and values quantity over quality.
The paparazzi are the ones responsible for stalking and hounding celebrities at every twist and turn of their daily life. Their job is not a glamorous one, but there are many fans that want to see the stars looking and acting their worst.
A true fan of famous people pictures their stars in a much better light. The stars we see on the big and little screens have used a combination of talent, hard work and luck to get to where they are and the real fans know this. To be a true fan means to admire the dedication that these stars have shown to their trade.
Some pictures of movie stars are more contrived, like the posed studio shots that often seem very far away from the real star. These are pictures that are created by a team of public relations experts and more a sales tool than a look into the real person behind the star.
But a real fan can tell the good famous people pictures from the bad. The good ones may be as simple as a snap shot from the red carpet, but the photo shows a deeper view of the star. These sorts of pictures are taken by a true artist, a hunter of actors that is happy to wait for that winning moment when all things come together to form a small map to the stars real person.
These photographers combine the beauty of a posed shot with the immediacy of a paparazzi photo. These photos are what the hardcore fan loves. They show the stars in all their glory while at the same time showing us a little more, a closer look at what may have helped this person become the star they are today.
These famous people pictures are the ones we seen in framed collections and art books. These are the photos a true fan lives for because of the insight they give us. As long as the movie stars keep making films, the fans will want the photos that tell the stars story, if only one glimpse at a time.

Famous Photographers – 3 Photographers You Should Know
Photography is often the art of the anonymous as we rarely know who was on the other side of the camera. We can all name a few bits of famous photographs, such as that one Time Square picture or the one of the iron workers sitting above a city, but for the most part we don’t spend much time focusing on the history of the medium as an art form. By understanding influential artists, it can have a big impact on how we see photography and inspire new ideas, so here are three photographers who’s influence is recognized worldwide.
Henri Cartier-Bresson
Though the name may not be as familiar, Cartier-Bresson was a giant in the development of modern photography. He is considered to be one of the forefathers of photojournalism and spent most of his adult life on assignment magazines like Life. Daring and fearless, Henri Cartier-Bresson captured images from some of the most volatile environments in history like the liberation of Paris in WWII, the Spanish Civil War and the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi.

Alfred Stieglitz
If you’ve ever taken a photography class, the chances are good that you recognize this name. Stieglitz was married to Georgia O’Keeffe, a legend in her own right, and many of his most iconic images center around her. He was responsible for forcing photography into the public view as a valid art form, which he accomplished through innovative exhibits organized around the country. Stieglitz was known as the father of pictorialism. Pictorialism is where the significance of the picture is more about the way in which the photographer manipulated the image than about the importance of the subject.

Larry Burrows
Larry Burrows is a legend among photojournalists. He was often referred to as the man who went off to war with “film in his socks,” Burrows is best known for his photo coverage of the Vietnam war for Life magazine. His pictures were some of the most iconic and emotionally charged images to come out of the region and gave the public a view into the conflict. Sadly, Burrows was killed in the conflict when his helicopter was shot down but his images have lived on as well as his tales of heroic actions like carrying soldiers to safety and rescuing civilians.

Whenever we work in an art medium, it is important to remember the people who came before us and the contributions they made. These 3 photographers have had an enormous impact on the validity and importance of photography as an art form. You should check out biographies or photo collections by each of these artists as viewing amazing and famous photography can often lead to great new paths.

Understanding Digital SLR Megapixels, Lenses and Resolutions Digital SLR Camera Features
When you’re looking at the specs of a DSLR camera, the list can be overwhelming, full of technical details and specifications. If you tried looking for reviews and ratings of digital cameras, you will feel very confused trying to make heads and tails of all the opinions that customers are sharing.
But if you do take the time and manage to sift through all that information, you will be able to make the best choice.
What Is It?
What exactly is the difference between a SLR and other digital cameras? Why are you looking to buy a SLR and not a compact or a subcompact? You should ask yourself these questions before you spend the money.
For example, you should know what a megapixel does before you buy a SLR digital camera based on the number of megapixels alone. The number of megapixels indicate how big is the camera’s resolution (the number of light pixels in a given space).
The bigger the number of pixels, the clearer and sharper is the image. They can get pricey though, so the key is to find one that has a good price and a sufficient quality image.
Just because a digital camera has a lot of pixels, it doesn’t mean that the photo quality is guaranteed. If there are too many pixels, and the sensor isn’t big enough, the photos can look over-pixilated or unnatural.
An example could be the shadows from the picture, which could be too detailed if the pixel rate is high. Every time you look at a different camera, make sure you check the pixel rates and the resolution.
You might be curious what exactly does SLR means. SLR comes from “single-lens reflex”. This digital camera has a small mirror that moves between the film and the lens. Then it uses the lens to project the image on the focusing screen. There are a lot of SLR digital cameras available, from all manufacturers. Two examples of SLR cameras are Nikon D70 and those from Canon.

Try comparing the resolutions and megapixels of a number of different digital cameras. Know what it can do before you go into that shop and buy it. It can be a great investment buying a SLR camera, but considering how much money you’re spending, you should really do your research.
Nikon SLR Digital Cameras Pros & Cons
I owned a number of Nikon SLR digital cameras so far, and in this article I will talk about the D90 model.
D90 Pros
- The ISO capability is the same as that of Nikon D300.
- The layout is very intuitive, something that Nikon is recognized for.
- The number of frames per second, card access and fast focus
- The ability to make videos, a first for a DSLR
Cons
- The video doesn’t have AF and the audio quality is weak
- The kit lens is not as good as Nikon claims
If the toughness of the kit lens that comes with the camera isn’t important for you, this camera is a good choice. If you’re a bit more advanced and you want better lenses, you can wait a bit and buy only the body, which shows up after the release of the kit.
When I decided to buy the D90, I already had a period of research where I looked at a number of different cameras. What I really wanted was the D300 model, because it was waterproof and it had a magnesium body, but the extra $600 wasn’t worth those features.
The sensor of the model I bought, the D90, is the same with the one that comes with the D300 camera, so the ISO capabilities are the same. Some of the reviews I read said that the noise reduction of the D90 model is better than it was for D300. If you also use the Nikon VR lenses, you can take good photos at very reduced shutter speeds.
The layout of the controls is very good. The choices that have single buttons are all well chosen: image quality, previous shot, ISO and white balance.
When I bought the digital camera, making videos wasn’t my first choice, and that was a good thing since the quality isn’t the best. You can easily buy $200 digital cameras that will take much better videos than this DSLR can. I don’t understand why they would add a video feature if they didn’t do it well.
Many people will do OK with the kit lens of this camera, but it could’ve been much better.
All in all, the camera is very good. I just wish it had some weather proofing, though at this price you can’t really expect that. Besides that, this camera does it all at an OK level. Some problems exist though, and the four stars rating reflects just that.

Canon Digital Cameras – Help on Comparing Canon Models
So you decided to buy a new Canon digital camera and need help on deciding which one to choose. This article will try to break the available models into categories to help you pick the right one for your needs. Each model Canon designs is tailored to a specific segment of buyers, and the functionality each model comes with will fit the needs of that segment. It’s obvious that you are unlikely to find advanced features built in low end cameras, the price has to be kept down.
Low-end Canon cameras
These cameras are highly affordable, they cost usually $200 or less, and are catered on the needs of novice and casual photographers. They are lightweight, equipped with a basic set of features and aren’t meant for anything more than occasional use. Lots of the functions on low end cameras are automated and come with few manual controls.
Models in this category include the Rebel and Kiss series and the three and four-digit series (EOS 450D, EOS 3500, etc).
Mid-range Canon cameras
These series focus on more experienced amateur photographers’ needs, who do not make a living off their camera, yet want some more control on the pictures they take. While they are not even close to professional cameras, mid-range gadgets offer a reasonable number of manual controls, and some recent models in this range even come in metal bodies.
Among the models in this group, we should note the Elan and two digit series (D35, EOS 45)
Professional Canon models
These range of cameras are used by professional photographers, who earn their living shooting photos and require top-notch equipment. They are uncomfortable to carry, come with zillions of accessories and a full blown range of manual and automated controls that a point and shoot consumer camera would never dream about. Professional cameras feature extremely fast shutter and automated focus, offering users the opportunity to take high quality shots.
Canon models in this group include most of the 1 series (1N, 1V, all 1D’s), while other EOS series cameras (EOS 3 and 5) are considered semi-professional.
As an ending note, you should keep in mind that you don’t have to take this classification as a state of the art truth: one can take great shots with a camera not labeled as “professional”. Some of these models are classified in a certain group due to marketing considerations – sometimes moving a certain model up or down in a category can boost sales

Canon Digital Camera Tips
Many people have this belief that digital cameras do all the work in photography. They feel like all you have to do is click the button on a beautiful picture will appear. They also believe that the better camera they have the better photos they will get. Not true!
Even with a lower end camera, you can get fantastic quality photos. You can take the worst photos with best camera. All you need is a little knowledge and skill, and you can turn the worst camera into something that captures beautiful moments, with beautiful quality. Below are some tips that will help you take pictures like a pro!
1) Warm Up Tones
Many of us notice that our pictures sometimes have a cool feeling to them. This is because the default setting for white balance is usually auto. This is not bad, but tends to create photos that look a bit as you would say “cool”.
If you are shooting outdoor pictures, in a sunny environment, you should probably change your white balance to cloudy. This will case the camera to increase the red and yellow, which will result in a brighter, warmer fina, photo.
2) Sunglasses Polarizer
Using a polarizing filter will really give your pictures a better look. Polarizing filters are generally used for landscapes and outdoor photography. Polarized shots reduce glare and reflections, causing more saturated pictures (this is especially the case for photos of the sky).
Now, many cameras do not have the ability to have a filter. If this is the case, no worries, Have a good pair of sunglasses handy, and you can use these as a replacement for the filter. Sounds dumb, but it works! Trust me, I’ve tried it.
3) Making Your Outdoor Photos Shine
One of the best features that many of us are not aware of is the flash on mode. This allows you to take control of the flash, thus it will only go on when you want it to, rather than when the camera decides to.
In this mode, the camera will expose the background, then it will add the right amount of flash to light up the subject. This will create a very professional looking picture. Everything will look good, and this is why many wedding photographers have been using this technique for a long time. It will take a bit of practice to get it right, but it is worth it!
